Kristian Zuniga is an award-winning Director of Photography based in Atlanta, Georgia. With over 10 years of experience as a freelance cinematographer Kristian has shot commercials for Puma, Adidas, Nike, Apple, META, Remy Martin and more. . He's worked with UKVMA / VMA-winning directors and artists including Janelle Monáe, Raury, 6LACK, A Tribe Called Quest, Run The Jewels, Chance the Rapper, Drake, The Migos , Charlie Puth, and Orville Peck. He has premiered films at Tribeca, Sundance and SXSW. His latest short "Depression Is A Beast" premiered at Tribeca 2024.
His commercial work has taken him across 5 Continents shooting in places like Canada, Brazil, China, Germany, Portugal, The Netherlands, Thailand and Japan.
He's well versed in shooting on 16/35mm film and digital sensors from Arri/Sony/Phantom. He's worked with Arm Cars, Technocranes, Remote Heads, motion control and gimbals.
In his spare time he enjoys kayak fishing, wrestling his dog and playing Magic the Gathering.

Derek has also directed commercial content for companies like Krystal’s, showcasing his ability to bring a unique vision to every project.
In the world of visual effects, Derek has left a lasting impact through his work with Adult Swim. He served as the Visual Effects Supervisor for three seasons of Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell and more recently took on multiple roles—VFX Supervisor, VFX Post Supervisor, and Lead Artist—on Adult Swim's Yule Log 1 and Yule Log 2, directed by Casper Kelly and premiered on HBO Max. Derek’s expertise in visual effects has also contributed to award-winning films, including Budfoot, Good Head, I Will Never Leave You Alone, 10 Things You Didn't Know About Bigfoot, Tether, and many more.
